This course is designed for students who have little or no prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. The main focus of this course is to develop the students’ oral communication skills in Mandarin. This course aims to help students acquire basic tools to enable them to further their studies in the language, such as mastering the Pinyin system, and learning basic Mandarin sentence patterns. Students will also learn about the different aspects of Chinese culture; a little history and traditions will also be introduced as these will help them apply the learnings in real situation conversations. By the end of the course, students should be able to engage in simple conversations in Mandarin.
This course is specifically planned for Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management students of Southern Luzon Technological College, Inc.
